2010 Managing Broker of the Year

Gary Whiting, John L. Scott, Inc.

Gary earned his real estate license in 1972, and is a Life Member of the Million Dollar Club.  He has been a managing broker for the past 32 years, and has been with John L. Scott since 1995.  Gary’s list of service to the Realtor® association and RMLS™ extensive. 

Gary has been a member of the PMAR Professional Standards Committee since 1997, and served as Chairman in 2006.  During this time he has served on numerous Ethics and Arbitration hearing panels.  Previously, Gary was a PMAR PAC Trustee, and has been a PAC contributor since 1998.  Gary participated in the RMLS™ Board of Directors for the past 18 years, where he has served as Treasurer, and served twice as Chairman.  He has also served RMLS™ as the Chairman for their Long Range Planning Committee, their Internet Policy Committee, and the RMLS™ Executive Committee Officer Nomination Committee.


That just covers some of his professional accomplishments.  His community involvement includes:

  • American Red Cross blood donor for more than 20 years, and has donated more than 14 gallons of platelets! 

  • Member of the Cedar Mill Business Association, where he has been an active participant in “SaveCedarMill.com”

  • Active with the Citizen Participation Organization of Washington County, and is a sponsor of the Adopt a Road program
