RULES & REGULATIONS

ARTICLE VIII - MEETINGS

The Club shall hold a minimum of four meetings per year, which includes the annual meeting and the BOTY/MBOTY presentation meeting. The annual meeting of the Club shall be held in the month of October at a time and place designated by the MDC Leadership Team. Additional meetings may be held at times and places optional to the MDC Leadership Team but within the scope of the approved Million Dollar Club Budget.

ARTICLE IX - ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Section 1. Nominations. At least ninety (90) days prior to the Annual Meeting, the current Leadership Team shall have the opportunity to nominate themselves for open Leadership Team positions. At least sixty (60) days prior to the Annual Meeting, the membership shall receive notice of all open positions on the Leadership Team, as well as a list of candidates already on the ballot, and shall have the opportunity to nominate themselves for open Leadership Team positions. The Immediate Past President shall be responsible for identifying and recruiting new candidates for the Leadership Team if no names are submitted for open positions. If there are no qualified candidates for the positions of President Elect or Vice President, the Immediate Past President may recruit candidates from the general membership. The names of the qualified nominated candidates shall be submitted to the Club President and the membership via written notice at least thirty (30) days prior to the Annual Meeting. No further nominations will be considered.

Section 2. Balloting. In the event of a contested race, ballots will be provided to members 30 days prior to the Annual Elections Meeting. Each candidate receiving a majority of the votes cast for a particular office shall be declared elected. Balloting will only be conducted in the event of a contested race. When there is only one candidate for a particular office, it shall be in order for the President to request a motion for a unanimous ballot during the Annual Meeting.

Section 3. Elective Years. The elective year of the Million Dollar Club shall begin following the day of the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors meeting at the annual convention and continue through the day before the National Association of REALTORS® next Board of Directors at the following years’ annual convention.

Section 4. All other matters pertaining to elections shall proceed in conformance with Article XIII of the PMAR Bylaws.
